Which plan applies in Indore today

Indore is still governed by the Indore Development Plan 2021, prepared by MP Town & Country Planning. The plan stays in force, with frequent land-use modifications, because its successor (planned to 2041) has not yet been published even as a draft. Building a house or developing a colony here must follow the MP Bhumi Vikas Niyam 2012 and the land use shown in the development plan. Indore Municipal Corporation issues building permission through the state's online ABPAS system, and colony layouts also need T&CP approval.

The Indore Development Plan 2021 still applies. Its horizon year has passed, but it stays in force until a new plan is approved, and T&CP notifies individual land-use changes to it.

Is the Indore Master Plan 2041 out?

Which rules decide how much I can build on my plot in Indore?

The MP Bhumi Vikas Niyam 2012, as amended, sets FAR, ground coverage, setbacks, height and parking. The development plan decides which land use your plot is allowed.

Where do I apply for building permission in Indore?

Apply to Indore Municipal Corporation online through ABPAS on the MP e-Nagarpalika portal, using a registered architect. Colony projects also need T&CP layout approval and RERA registration.
